By Tammy Moore Teague
The Waldron Chamber of Commerce was joined by Mayor Neil Cherry, city leaders, the Waldron High School marching band, cheerleaders and members of the community as they celebrated Arvest Bank’s grand opening.
The event was held on Friday afternoon, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The bank, located on the Highway 71 bypass, hosted the open house and provided hamburgers, hotdogs and cake. In addition to the Chamber’s ceremonial ribbon cutting, the high school band and cheerleaders also performed.
Amanda Falconer, Director of the Scott County Boys and Girls Club, accepted a $6,000 donation from Arvest Bank. Additionally, the bank donated $4,000 to the Scott County Senior Citizens Center.
