The Hackett Hornets played inspirational basketball on Wednesday night at the Bill Frye Holiday Classic, defeating Paris in a comeback effort by the score of 70-62. The Hornets held a one-point lead at half and then fell behind by as many as 13 points late in the third quarter. But a furious comeback by the Hornets that included great, full-court pressure on defense and key big shots on the offensive end gave Hackett the victory. It was the third time the two teams have met already this season, and was the first victory for Hackett over Paris.

Hackett advanced to the championship game that will be played tonight at 6:30 p.m. The Hornets will play Pocola, Oklahoma for the tournament title. Paris will play for third place at 4 p.m. versus the Waldron Bulldogs.
