If you were close to, or passed by the Mansfield High School on Saturday night, it would’ve been hard to miss the activities going on outside, the Bluegrass music coming from within the cafeteria, and the acres of parked cars.
A record crowd of 500+ people attended the annual Fellowship Baptist Church “Wild Game” Banquet which focuses on Faith, Family, Fun, and Outdoors. The event started at 4:00pm with activities for the kids, while Just Us played Bluegrass on the main stage inside.
Pastor Gary Martin stated, “It was definitely an amazing night. I’m at a loss of words on how to describe it. We couldn’t have done this without the help, work effort, and talents of our Church staff.”
The events of the night ended with a massive door prize giveaway where registered attendees were put into a drawing for items such as fishing poles, outdoor equipment, and a brand new BEAR bow.
Each year, the FBC Banquet has grown in size, and popularity. It’s definitely the best attraction for families to enjoy in our area, and one that people look forward to attending each year.
Event coordinator, John Byers added, “This banquet has grown each year, and each year it goes smoothly. The kids, and their families have fun, enjoy great food, amazing music, and God’s word. We’re truly Blessed.”
