Lavaca’s Garrett Eck was one half the focus of last Thursday’s signing ceremony in Wendall Hardgrave / David Floyd Gymnasium at Lavaca High School.
Eck, a basketball stand out signed his letter of intent to play under Head Coach, Josh Newman for the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith.
With player stats such as an average 19-ppg, career 1380 points, 7 rebounds per game, 40% three point shooter, 2 time All-State and a 3.5 GPA, Eck leaves Lavaca with a focus of carrying on his strong student-athlete characteristics.
As Eck transitions into college, he’ll begin this Summer playing in the All-Star game. He sas played in 4 district championships since 8th grade, and a finished career with 64 wins.
