The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission’s Region IV Stream Team Coordinator, Matthew Irvin, recently met with East Lab students from Mansfield to teach them about land and water conservation.
Students Ashton Hinkle and Daniel Fox learned tips on preventing erosion, and maintaining clean rivers and streams. Irvin spent over an hour with the students, demonstrating water testing and how to plant trees and vegetation near sources of water to promote a healthy environment.
Mansfield Mayor Buddy Black visited the coordinator and East Lab students at the outdoor classroom at Mansfield City Lake.
