Alleged Scammer Arrested

Last week the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office issued a warning to residents, particularly senior citizens, throughout the county about a scam artist.

As of yesterday, March 6, that alleged scammer, Brian Stanley, had been located and placed under arrest. Stanley was located in Pocola, OK and SCSO was able to locate him by a call from a citizen.  

He was taken to the Leflore County Detention Center on an outstanding warrant out of Leflore County for forgery.  The Pocola Police Department and Arkansas State Police also assisted in locating and arresting Stanley.

SCSO investigators are still working on three cases in Sebastian County involving Stanley.  SCSO wants to thank the many concerned citizen who shared information which lead to Stanley being located.
