I love how our community comes together to support each other. Tomorrow there was a scheduling conflict between our Lavaca Youth Football Homecoming event and the Arkansas State Volleyball Championship. Lavaca Youth Football was able to move things around to ensue that those from our community who wanted to attend both events were able to.Alanna Kagen posted this on Facebook this morning, “Ok parents and coaches, homecoming times have changed due to volleyball has made it to championship. (Congratulations to the volleyball players first of all!!!) Now 3/4 grade homecoming will start at 4:45 pm so I will need all 3/4 grade to be at the high school football field at 4:35/4:40 pm. 5/6 grade homecoming will start at 5:30 pm so I will need all 5/6 grade to be at the high school football field at 5:15/5:30 pm. This way it gives everyone a chance to go support our volleyball players in the championship and still come to homecoming. Thank you, Alanna Kagen”
The bridge between the School programs and the youth organizations is vital to the success of our programs, and the efforts and last minute adjustments are greatly appreciated by LHS. Felicia Owen had this to say in response, “On behalf of Lavaca High School and the Lady Arrows Volleyball Team, I want to thank the Lavaca Youth Football League for adjusting the 2018 homecoming ceremonies and Lavaca vs. Paris football games Saturday, October 27 to allow our town travel time for the state tournament. I sincerely hope the entire community will travel to Hot Springs for the Volleyball State Championship game and cheer on our Arrows! Let’s show the state our Golden Arrow Pride! 💜💛
Sincerely,
Felicia Owen, LHS Principal”
We at R22 News want to wish both the Lady Arrows and the Lavaca Youth Football program good luck tomorrow!
