Ricky, and Renea Bryan of Mansfield took an idea, and through their entrepreneurial effort (and spirit), recently opened Bargain Barn in Waldron, Arkansas.
When WalMart closed, it shook the Waldron consumers, and the Bryan’s were already working on turning this idea into a business. “We wanted to do something that benefited the town, and local economy. It was an idea we couldn’t get out of our minds, and our hearts” stated Renea.
The Bargain Barn’s inventory changes weekly, where most everything is 50% of what you would normally find elsewhere. That’s where the name came into their minds, being that the products should be a bargain.
Consumers can find a wide variety of items ranging from pet foods to mattresses, common household items, beauty products, health food, and the list goes one.“After starting the process of opening a business, we realized this is something we can do together as a family, and throughout our retirement” added Renea, who teaches business at Mansfield Middle School, and is the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) sponsor.
They’ve set their Summer hours at Wednesday and Thursday 9:00am – 4:00pm, and Saturday 8:00am – 12:00pm.
You can find the Bargain Barn at the below map.
