This summer while most students are relaxing and enjoying their time away from school, Mansfield Middle School 7th grade student, Serenity Brunson will be spending a portion of her summer break at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
There she will have the opportunity to develop new global perspectives alongside student leaders from all over the world. She will be part of a team constructing an effective community action plan, and developing a Lead2Feed project.
Serenity will also be touring not only the Harvard campus, but she will explore Boston, JFK Presidential Library, and MIT.
Serentiy’s mother, Jennifer Brunson, stated, “Serenity works hard everyday at everything she does. I feel blessed to watch her grow and push herself to become better everyday. I believe the opportunity she has been given to go and tour Harvard, participate in community service projects and learning activities will be very beneficial in achieving her dream of one day becoming a pediatric neurosurgeon.”
