The Waldron Bulldogs made their way to Cedarville last night to take on the Pirates. Their intentions were to sink Cedarville’s ship and that’s just what they did. The Bulldogs walked away with a 65-61 overtime win and are now 3-0 in conference play. The Bulldogs are looking pretty good at taking their game all the way to the top. Peyton Brown brought in a whopping 37 points for the Bulldogs during their heart-stopping game. Drew Dozier and Gada Wagner each made 9 points while Isaac Villarreal secured 8. “It was a great high school basketball game and a great atmosphere. We overcame a lot of adversity and they shot the cover off the ball but we got stops when we had to have them to give ourselves a chance and to force overtime. In the end, we were able to put a win in the left column,” said Head Coach Joshua Brown.

The Lady Bulldogs played a good game last night against the Lady Pirates but had a little bit of trouble bringing in a victory. The Lady Bulldogs lost 60-24 but they will make this a learning experience, fix what needs to be fixed, and continue moving on. The girls are now 1-2 in conference play. Head Coach Josh Atchley said, “Cedarville has been very talented in girls basketball for the last few years. I think Coach Rackley has done a great job with their girls’ program. In order for us to be successful, we must play the game at our pace, take our shots, and get the stops that we can control!”

The Bulldogs will host the Lincoln Wolves on December 21st at 4 pm.
