Jerry Keith Davis, 84, left his earthly home in Waldron, Arkansas, to go to his heavenly home on April 30, 2026. Jerry was born on the Davis farm (established in 1876) on August 28, 1941, to his parents, Thurlo “Dick” Davis and Alvanue (Frost) Davis.

In his youth, he learned (and loved) to hunt, fish, and ride horses with his Dad and also his childhood friend Jimmy Judy. In his teenage years, football was his passion.

As much as a boy loves to play, he was encouraged to work on the farm along side the rest of his family, which included his older sister Linda and younger sister Donna. He worked hard and, as a young teen, supervised several hay-hauling crews.

When he graduated from high school in 1959, Jerry proudly enlisted in the Navy, where he served his beloved country and saw the world. During many long, lonely watches as a Radioman, he developed a love of reading. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he attended Arkansas Tech. He graduated in 3 years with a double major in Economics and Business Administration, while also working full-time. He enjoyed learning and continued his education at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, even entering their law school for a year before his job at Campbell Soup took priority to support his family. Always employed, he held supervisory positions in Fayetteville, AR; Carthage, MO; Milford, DE; and Waco, TX.

Jerry enjoyed traveling with his wife, Susan, and their daughter, Tylitha. He loved history, hiking, horseback riding, reading, watching sports, music, a good thunderstorm, and listening to ocean waves. He was a true romantic. Almost always surrounded by women, he was also a man of great patience.

Jerry returned to his boyhood home with Susan and Tylitha (“my girls,” as he called them) after retiring. He kept in touch with most of his friends, many commenting that he asked about their family, but never mentioned his declining health.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife and life companion of 48 years, Susan. His daughters Stephanie (Randy) Hamilton of Prairie Grove, AR, and Tylitha Davis of Waldron, AR. His grandchildren, Chad Hamilton, Justin Zaccanti, Todd Lankford, Tanner Goolsby, Ian Davis, and their families. Susan’s family enthusiastically welcomed Jerry into their family. Dianne (Greg) Wenrich, Rose Wenrich, all of Indiana; Bob (Robyn) Wenrich, California; Catherine (Jim) Heffernan, Pennsylvania; their children and grandchildren. Jerry is also survived by his two sisters: Linda Goodner of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Donna Judy of Harrison, Arkansas along with their children, Randy Judy, Stewart Judy, Greg Goodner and Karan Rogers.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Stacey Davis, and brother-in-laws Jimmy Judy and Jim Wenrich.

Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Birdsview Church, Waldron, AR, beginning at noon, there will be a viewing, at 2:00 p.m., the service will begin, followed by Military Honors and graveside prayer.

Jerry’s love, firm handshakes, tight embraces, and mischievous grin will hold his memory for us who were honored to know him.

Chad Ashley Lane was a force to be reckoned with. Born on December 12, 1971, he met challenge after challenge, yet did not stop trying to be more than they said he would ever be. They said he would never walk, but he did. They said he would never talk, but he did. They said he would not have a full life, but he did! He learned to spell, count, and run even when the odds were not in his favor. He could quote numerous Bible verses and prayed with complete trust that God was hearing him. Chad was funny, witty, and did not hold back his opinion. He could communicate in ways most only wish they could. Chad loved well and was also loved well. He loved his mom the most and preferred her over all others. Their bond was unbreakable.

Chad Ashley Lane stepped into eternity and into the arms of Jesus on Friday, April 23, 2026. He spoke often of the Lamb’s Book of Life and made sure his name was written in it. He lived with confidence in the fact that his time on earth was temporary and that someday he would get to go to his forever home where he would see Jesus and experience the fullness of His promises. We can only imagine the things he now sees and experiences, but maybe a big banner was hung that said, “Welcome home, Chad, Welcome HOME!”

Chad Lane is survived by his mother Carolyn Lane, brother Cameron Lane (Krista Lane), brother Clark Lane, sister Courtney Lane ( Gregory Greenich), three nephews, four nieces and seven great nieces and nephews.

Chad was preceded in death by his father Collins Lane.

A Celebration of Chad’s life will be held Monday, April 27, at Connect Church in Russellville at 6 PM. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 2, at the Hon Cemetery in Hon, Arkansas at 11 AM. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Gideon’s International.

She loved flowers, especially roses, and enjoyed playing Canasta and dominoes. A devoted sports fan, she faithfully followed the Dodgers and the Lakers, and the Arkansas Razorbacks. She spent many evenings at Little League games cheering for her sons and helped manage her daughters’ softball team, the Hurley Birds.

Melba was a dedicated mother who loved her children deeply and worked to raise them to respect others, work hard, and, above all, be kind. She will be missed sorely but her love will live on.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Eva Ison; his brothers, Eddie Ison and wife Debbie and Donnie Ison and wife Janie; his sister, Mary Jett; his brother-in-law, Jerry Naylor; and his parents-in-law, Bob and Linda Fowler.

A celebration of Doug’s life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Rickey Hunt, Rev. Konnor McKay, and Rev. Joe Powers officiating. Interment will follow at Hunt Cemetery. Arrangements are being entrusted to Heritage Memorial Funeral Home.

His legacy lives on in the lives he touched, the lessons he shared, and the family he loved so deeply. Though he will be greatly missed, the love and memories he leaves behind will continue to bring comfort to those who knew him.
