Hackett Police Arrest Two in Traffic Stop

In the early morning hours of February 4th, 2017, Hackett Police Department initiated a traffic stop in the 400 Block of Hooper Street in Hackett. The vehicle accelerated quickly and before stopping a half mile later, the passenger in the vehicle was observed throwing something out the window.
The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Kelly of Greenwood, and the passenger, Kristina Strozier of Fort Smith both had active warrants through Sebastian County Sheriffs Office. The item that was thrown out of the vehicle was recovered and contained approximately half an ounce of suspected methamphetamine and suspected marijuana. Over $7,000 cash was seized along with the truck Kelly was driving.
The Hackett Police Department was assisted by deputies of the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office.
Both Kelly and Strozier face Felony charges of Possession of controlled substance methamphetamine with purpose to deliver along with other charges.
The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
