Hackett School Board has decided in the best interest of their current financial situation, to close the Hartford School Campuses effectively at the end of this school year.
Hartford School District consolidated with Hackett School District in 2014 after falling to financial issues due to their dropping enrollment numbers. With the consolidation, Hackett would inherit the financial burden of facilities management, and debt.
Eddie Ray, Hackett School District superintendent released this letter yesterday explaining the situation, and decisions behind the closing.
