Hartford Offers Center for Youth and Fitness

Last year, the City of Hartford opened a youth recreation center. More recently, they have added a fitness area to the facility.

The Hartford City Council voted to change the hours of operation on Monday, March 25. The Exercise Center will be open on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9 p.m. There is no charge, however, you must be 18 or older.

The facility includes two treadmills, Gazelle, Bowflex, stationary bike and weight machine.

The youth recreation center will be open on Friday and Saturday nights from 6-9 p.m. It offers air hockey, foosball, a pool table and board games. The center is free for kids to use, but those 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. They do offer snacks for sale.

The facility is located in the old medical building in Hartford, at the corner of Broadway and Bolan.
