Over the last few days, the Hackett Hornets have been on a thrilling action-packed baseball adventure. On March 23, the boys were blessed with the oppertunity to play their beloved sport at Arvest Park in Springdale, Arkansas against the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds.

Although the Hornets did not win that game, they were able to do something that a lot of kids only dream about while getting the chance to make awesome memories in the process. During the game, Hackett was able to get quality mound time for a bunch of their pitchers. Blayde Chappell and Bryce Brown secured two hits for the Hornets as well.

Following the Arvest Park extravaganza, the Hackett Hornets took on the Mountainburg Dragons on March 25. After a nerve-wracking game, the Hornets took the win 5-3. “I thought we fought through some adversity and found a way to win which will help us down the road,” explained Coach Broc Adams. “We aren’t anywhere near our full potential yet, but we are a fairly young team and I knew it would take a little bit to get things worked out but I think we are headed in the right direction!”

The 2-4 Hackett Hornets are more than ready for tonight’s home game. Not only is this the first conference game of the year, but it will be a second chance to take on the Hector Wildcats whom they faced at the beginning of the season and lost to 3-2. The game will start at 4:30 p.m. “Hector is tough. We competed well the first time we played them so I expect the same this time aroun.”
