The Trinity Winter Classic is here and the Hackett Jr High Hornets are ready for action. The Tournament will take place January 3-5 with the Hornets playing their first round on January 4. Having played Danville and Lavaca, the 1-1 boys team knows their first round play in the Trinity Winter Classic won’t be a walk in the park. “We are playing against much higher classifications and I got us in this tournament to test our guys and see what we need to do to finish out the year strong,” says Boys Coach Broc Adams. “This group works extremely hard on defense and to this point that has been what sets them apart! We’ve had several games where we struggled offensively but our defense has kept us in games!”
The Lady Hornets are first up in the tournament when they play the Trinity Lady Buffaloes at 4 pm followed by the boys at 5 pm. Then at 6 pm, the Lady Hornets will take on St.Josephs with the boys concluding the night with their 7 pm start time.
