Jr Tigers Doubledown on West Fork

The Jr High Mansfield Tigers took on the West Fork Tigers last night in one incredible shoot out. The Lady Tigers led the way to victory 23-22 in the first game of the night. The girls blew the doors off the gym with their high octane defense and fast-paced offense and kept the West Fork Lady Tigers trying to figure out what was going to happen next. It was the true definition of a cat and mouse basketball game. The Lady Tigers upgraded their conference play record to 3-4 and plan to continue moving up the ladder of success when they face the Charleston Tigers on Thursday. Leading her team in points was Skylynn Harris with 8 and Kynslee Ward on her heals with 7. Rounding out the final score with a combined total of 8 points was Sadie Roberts, Alyson Edwards, and Natalie Allison.

The Jr High Tigers were firing on all cylinders during last nights game. Almost every Tiger that came in contact with the ball ended up putting points on the board, showing off their unbeaten court skills. The (5-2) Tigers outscored their opponents by 5 points, walking away with the win 32-27.

Hitting double digits with 10 points was Ethan Pettus. Tyler Escalante brought in 6 points. Zayne Dugan scored 5 points. And Clint Stovall, Dalton Pettigrew, and Steven Perez secured a combined total of 11 points. The Jr High Tigers will play again Thursday, January 10 when they head to Charleston to take on their second Tiger team of the week. Game time is at 4:30 pm.
