As the holiday season approaches, one local law firm is once again stepping up to ensure families in need can gather around the table for a Thanksgiving meal. Walters, Allison, Parker & Estell has kicked off its Annual Turkey Giveaway, a tradition that has become a symbol of generosity and community spirit.
This year, the firm’s goal is to provide complete Thanksgiving dinners to 75 families across the area. The attorneys will cover the cost of turkeys, which will be smoked overnight and delivered fresh on Thanksgiving morning. Now, they are calling on the community to help supply the rest of the meal.
Donations of Instant Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, canned Corn and Green Beans, Cranberry Sauce, Gravy Mix, and Brownie Mix are being collected to round out the holiday feast.
“We’ve got the turkeys covered, but it takes the whole community to make this possible,” said Darla Duvall, who is helping coordinate the effort. “Every contribution—big or small—helps ensure that families can sit down to a warm, home-cooked meal on Thanksgiving Day.”
The Annual Turkey Giveaway has become a reminder of how small acts of kindness can make a big impact. Many families who receive the meals would otherwise go without, and the firm says they are thankful for the opportunity to give back.
