Wilma Maxine Williams of Waldron, Arkansas went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 24, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas surrounded by her loving family. Maxine was born April 22, 1931 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Charles E. Isham and Jessie Middleton Isham. Maxine was 85 years old. She was a member of New Life Center in Waldron, Arkansas.

As a young lady, Maxine married the love of her life, Bennie M. Williams. Together they made it through 21 years of Bennie’s Army career, worked and made a loving home and raised their children. They were blessed with 68 years together. Maxine had a number of things she enjoyed: from crocheting to painting, walking in the woods, gardening, fishing and everything in between. If it was outdoors, she was all in. As much as Maxine enjoyed all these things, nothing could compare to time spent with family and friends. This was where Maxine loved to be the most. She treasured making forever memories with all her babies. She leaves a legacy that will reign for generations to come.

Maxine leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Bennie M. Williams, three children: Dale Williams and wife Sharon, Crissy Holmes and husband Leran, Steven Williams and wife Karen all of Waldron, Arkansas. Granny or MeMe will forever be missed by 6 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren. Maxine is also survived by two sisters: Jean Stanley and Paula Lacroix , as well as three brothers: Jack Isham, Floyd Isham and Jim Isham. Maxine will be missed by all that knew her and the many whose lives she impacted including a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, neighbors and loved ones dear to her heart.

Maxine is preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Betty Jo Isham, and Kay Ammons, and brothers, Sanford Isham and Charlie Isham.

Maxine’s life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at the New Life Center in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Jerry Isham and Rev. Bobby Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Cemetery on Hwy 250. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Maxine’s pallbearers will be Shawn Williams, Daniel Ates, Brian Williams, Ben Ates, Cody Nix, Aaron Orta, and Rick Powell.

Maxine’s visitation will be 2:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. January 26, 2017 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas, with Maxine’s family receiving friends 5:00 pm till 7:00 p.m.
