The Paris Eagles football team had one of its best seasons in 2020 in school program history. Capping off that great season was the announcement on Friday that Eagles lineman Jimmy Dikeman was selected to the West All-Start team roster.

Dikeman, an all-state selection for his play in 2020, was named to the all-star roster for the game that will be played this summer. His play throughout the 2020 season was one of many important factors in the success of the Eagles finishing district runner-up and making a run through the state quarterfinals in the playoffs.

Paris head football coach Tyler Clark commented Friday on how much Jimmy has meant to the Eagles football program and how much he is proud of the accomplishments that Dikeman has achieved. “Jimmy is a great kid and a very hard worker. He was dominant upfront for us this year. He was a huge part of our record-setting offense and defense and played a key role in our playoff run. He’s earned every honor he’s gotten during his high school career. He’s been a great leader in our locker room and we will miss him dearly next year.”

The all-star football game will be held on June 5 at Estes Stadium in Conway. It will be Jimmy’s final game representing Paris, and I hope many of our readers from the Paris area will go to Conway to cheer for Jimmy as a tribute and thanks for his contributions to the Eagles’ football program.

Congratulations to Jimmy, his family, and to his head coach. Thanks for all of your contributions to Paris football.
