James Bynum, the Scott County man convicted on two counts of sexual assault, had a hearing before the Arkansas Parole Board on January 30. On February 3, the board denied Bynum’s request for parole.
In November 2019, Bynum was convicted and sentenced to five years for count one, and five years for count two. That sentence was to run consecutively, and the court considered time already served. Bynum must also be registered as a sex offender, and was fined $2,500 for each of those two counts of sexual assault.
