Community Reporter (Mansfield, and Hackett)
Job Description
Reporting directly to, and working closely with Resident Press staff, the Community Reporter will collectively use resources to generate, and contribute weekly content for each area of expertise in relation to town, and adjacent communities.
This role will use creativeness to obtain information supporting content deemed newsworthy, and elements relating to specific area of interest. Examples of content will include, but not limited to Featured, Headlines, Lifestyle, Business, City Government, Sports, Outdoors, and Food.
Responsibilities:
- Procure original content supporting local, and regional articles
- Obtain content in a professional manner
- Deliver complete content within a 24hr period
- Provide raw, non-copyrighted imagery associated with content
- Effectively plan, and attend local, and regional social, and civic meetings (City Council, School Board, Events, Ball Games etc.)
- Demonstrate an unbiased opinion on facts to support original content
Nice to Have Skills:
- General understanding of creating original content, or the ability to learn
- General understanding of WordPress website functionality, or the ability to learn
- General understanding of social networks, and marketing, or the ability to learn
- Have an eye for creating original imagery, or the ability to learn
- Outgoing personality who loves people
- A heart for your community, and outlying areas
- High level of ethics, morals, and professionalism
- Self motivated, organized, and efficient. Exhibit good communication skills, with the ability to travel, and provide your own transportation
- Demonstrated interest in reaching, and growing an audience through social media

Advertising Sales Representative
Job Description
Reporting directly to, and working closely with Resident Press staff, this position will collectively use resources to generate sales based on advertising, social exposure, paid articles, and newsletter ads in a digital media outlet.
This role will use a high level of professionalism to secure prospective advertising leads, their specific needs, and ad content. Detail oriented, and a focused individual will fit this role perfectly.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, and maintain client ads, specs, and content, each month
- Ability to professionally, and efficiently convey RP’s ad process, and criteria
- Provide ad spec content to marketing director in a timely manner
- Meet one-on-one with business owners, with the ability to travel, and provide your own transportation
Nice to Have Skills:
- Self motivated, organized, and efficient. Exhibit good communication skills, with the ability to travel, and provide your own transportation
- Outgoing personality who loves people
- High level of ethics, morals, and professionalism
- “Out of the Box” thinker, with sales focus
