Elected officials gathered on Tuesday morning at the Sebastian County Courthouse in Fort Smith for the installation ceremony sponsored by the Bar Association.
Sebastian County Circuit Judge Leigh Zuerker congratulated the officials. “…Tomorrow, you go to work. There will be lots to do…but that’s tomorrow. Today is about congratulations and gratitude…We say well done and thank you.”
Several county officials were sworn in during the ceremony, including Central City Mayor Terry Wallace, Sebastian County Coroner Kenny Hobbs, Bonanza Mayor Elmer Nelson, Sebastian County Assessor Zach Johnson and Sebastian County Treasurer/Collector Judith Miller among others. –See related story
Before adjourning the ceremony, Sebastian County Circuit Judge Shannon Blatt thanked each of the newly elected officials and wished them well.
