The Sr High Cedarville Pirates have done it again. After their massive 65-27 win over the Bigelow Panthers, the Pirates have started the season undefeated 3-0 which is something that hasn’t been achieved in over a decade. This accomplishment is largely due to the fact that the Pirates have solidarity that brings them together to make magic happen on the field.
With a total of 43 carries and 593 rushing yards, Cedarville is pushing the limits to make this season on for the books. The Pirates offense was ablaze with their lightning speed and spur-of-the-moment footwork. Kelin Mitchell earned 9 carries for 198 yards and one touchdown. Darryl Kattich snagged 13 carries for 161 yards and 3 touchdowns. And Hayden Partain netted 4 carries for 38 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Cedarville’s defense can always be counted on to stand firm against any opponents offense. And when it came to holding the Panthers, that’s just what they did. The Pirate defense helped in establishing a 38 point lead while also keeping the wins column movin’ on up. Cedarville will rest up during their bye week and then be ready for road play against Lamar on September 27 at 7 p.m.
