What an incredible season the Lavaca Lady Arrows Volleyball Team had! It’s hard to believe that the season has come to an end already. Today the Lady Arrows went as far as the season would allow. They did not get the results that they were hoping for today, but they should be very proud of the way they performed all season long.
Lavaca carved up the 2A west this year capturing a co-championship with Hackett. They dominated their District Tournament and were crowned District Champions. Then they rolled up the completion in the State Tournament, which sent them to the first State Championship game since 2008. They came up just short of their goal, falling to Crowley’s Ridge in 3 sets.
State runner-up is not what they wanted, but it is a great feat and they have nothing to hang their heads about. The school and community are proud of these ladies. Thank you Lady Arrows and coaching staff for the way you represented yourselves, LHS, and the City of Lavaca. To the Seniors, Hope Headley, Abby Glidewell, Hannah Parsons, Abrie Rainwater, and Morgan Taylor, you will be missed but have built a legacy that will follow. The leadership and heart you displayed this year will carry you far in whatever the future holds for you.
