If you happen to be in search of a restaurant that’s a cut above the rest, look no further. The Stockyard Steakhouse located at 103 North Main in Waldron, Arkansas is sure to appease your appetite, and put a smile on your face.
You can’t help but smell the aromas of an authentic steakhouse as you approach the front door. Once you enter, you’re quickly greeted, and seated with a smile. Their offering is centered around beef, but offers a variety for all tastes.
Stockyard Steakhouse opened for business in June of 2016 and is owned by Sharon, and Richard Cagle. Sharon has been involved in the restaurant business in Scott county for about 50 years, give or take. Sharon, and her father, Fred Hawthorne, opened the famous, Fred’s truck stop and café when she was just 16 in 1963.
In 2009 she decided to close Fred’s. In 2012, Sharon decided with her son, Marvin Coffey, to open Fred’s family restaurant in Waldron after purchasing the old dairy cream building. Marvin, who also has also dedicated his life to the restaurant business, was raised in the old Fred’s café, has also studied the culinary arts and was a broiler chef and apprentice to an executive chef.

The Ribeye is an excellent choice paired with loaded mashed potatoes. Choices of sides include Salad or colesaw, with potato (baked, mashed or fried), and a roll.

In 2016, Sharon, Marvin along with his wife Autumn and Richard decided to once again venture into the restaurant business, this time a bit different than before. With an idea to sell alcoholic beverages along with high quality steaks and chops, stockyard steakhouse was born.
With top quality meats, all hand cut to order by Marvin and cooked by his crack team of cooks, Autumn Coffey and Nathan Roberts. With several of the most popular beers and a full bar for just about any mixed drink. stockyard Steakhouse has a perfect mixture of classic country atmosphere, presentation and jaw dropping flavor.
