3rd year Head Coach, Rich Patterson’s U10 team had a dream season this Fall. His team, mostly 2nd year players beat their opponents by an average of 12 goals per game, with an average of 1 goal scored against their defense.
This U10 came together late in the registration but flourished since their first game. “They play so well, as if they’ve played together forever” added Patterson. They typically played a full field, with no substitutes against teams with substitutes, which is a testament to their willingness to win, and play full field without a break.
This age group is highly competitive amongst rivals such as Paris, and Booneville, with Mountainburg coming into the scheduled games this season. “We played Mountainburg at Alma on a field twice the size we practice on, it was intimidating. They came together that game, which started the 2016 season. I am very proud of everyone; they gave it their all every game” commented Patterson.
