The annual Mansfield Christmas parade was held on Saturday, December 7. It was perhaps one of the largest turnouts, and group of participants the town has seen in quite some time.
Resident Press Owner and Publisher Jason Baggett, Mansfield Alderman Sheri Hopkins and Robert Walker served at this year’s emcees. The 2019 Grand Marshall, 100 year old Margie Heydenreich.
The theme for this year’s parade, “Unwrap the Magic of Christmas.” Winning first place for the float division was Mansfield First Baptist Church, and Len and Sandra Johnson brought home first place in the non-float category. The coveted Spirit of Christmas award went to Macaroni the Christmas Pony!
The sirens of the emergency vehicles, sweet voices of the Mansfield choir the roar of the corvette engines, and the sound of the marching band all ushered in the spirit of the season!
