On Wednesday, December 13, the Waldron Police Department and Alcohol Beverage Control Board served a warrant on a residence in Waldron.
A search warrant was executed on the property where alleged minors and adults were being sold alcohol. As a result of this search, several cases of beer, bottles of liquor and $6,100 in cash were seized.
Sales for alcohol within Scott County is prohibited as it is a “dry county.” Additionally, the Alcohol Beverage Control Board which regulates, supervises and controls the manufacture, distribution and sale of all alcoholic beverages, conduct investigations of violations and apprehend violators. The agents also answer complaints and perform other special assignments, All Alcoholic Beverage Control Enforcement agents must be certified law enforcement officers.
The Waldron Police Department has not released any names or further details on the case.
