Santa himself was present for a turkey and ham giveaway by West Fraser in Mansfield. Company elves, Frosty, and several city representatives were present for the event held on Monday, December 21.
Cars and trucks began lining up early for the event, which was held at the Mansfield Municipal building. In total, around 300 turkeys and hams were distributed.
“I appreciate this so much,” shared one recipient. “It will help feed my family for Christmas.”
West Fraser is vital to this area, providing both job opportunities and assistance to the community. Mill manager James Travis said this was an opportunity for them to give back during this difficult year.
