Local Fire Departments Undergo Training

The Mansfield Volunteer Fire Department met at the Huntington Fire Department to undergo joint training in introduction to firefighting.

It is a requirement that each member of the MVFD train at least 16 hours per year to remain on the department. Members of the HVFD, and instructor Gary Lawrence gave taught both new and seasoned members.

Continued training and refresher courses are an essential part of fire life. Members plan to continue training with a course scheduled for March 28, personal protective equipment.
