To say that the Mansfield Sr High Lady Tigers have been hard at work in the last two weeks is an understatement. After engaging in their sixth match last Thursday, this time against the Paris Lady Eagles, the Lady Tigers then turned around for their second weekend tournament in a row and endured a day filled with battling competitors at the Slamfest Volleyball Tournament in Harrison, Ar over the past weekend.

Mansfield held their own against Paris but in the end, they succumbed to a 3-0 loss with scores tallied at 25-14, 25-23, and 25-14. The Lady Tigers earned some impressive stats individually as well. Brooke Wright conquered 10 kills, two blocks, and one dig. Sadie Roberts helmed four blocks, six kills, and two digs. Kiara Thomas commanded three kills and five digs. Danielle Lillie held her grip on seven digs, one ace, and 2 kills. And Haylee Helms, Vanessa Noblitt, and Maggie Strunk conquered 17, nine, and three digs respectively.

The Lady Tigers mastered a great run at Slamfest bringing in a third-place victory. After engaging in matches against Valley Springs, Hackett, and Highland, the girls took two out of three wins. The Mansfield Lady Tigers now sit with an 8-6 overall season record and a conference play record of 2-2. Up next, Mansfield will travel to West Fork on September 17 to take on the Lady Tigers with game play starting at 4:30 p.m.
