The Magazine Rattlers have turned out to be their own weapons of grass destruction this golf season. They not only put in long hours on the course, playing in off the chart heat indexes and unbreathable humidity but not once did you hear them complain. They just pushed on through and got the done job. Recently, the Rattlers competed in the 2A District Tournament and the results were on target.
The Lady Rattlers earned Runner-Up with only 13 strokes behind Acorn. Michal-Ann Dobson was the overall girls’ medalist with a score of 98. Following in second was Lauren Littleton with a score of 104. Both Dobson and Littleton earned spots on the all-conference team. Although the boys didn’t place, they hit hard and gave it everything they had. The girls’ State Tournament will be played on September 30 at 9 a.m. at the Turkey Mountain Golf Course in Salem, Arkansas.
