On Saturday, January 9, Anthony Dedmon took the title of Scott County’s best hunter at the 1st annual Big Buck contest!
The contest, which was sponsored by American Legion Post 46 and the Ouachita Mountains VFW Post 1345, began in October 2020 and was open to all Scott County residents with a $5 entry.
Judging took place at Memorial Hall in downtown Waldron by Arkansas Deer Coordinator Ralph Meeker. Bucks were scored using the official Boone and Crockett scoring criteria.
Dedmon proudly took claim to the trophy and title! Congratulations to him on this outstanding win!
