Herman Moore of Waldron, Arkansas passed from this life, Friday, March 10, 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas surrounded by his loving family. Herman was born February 9, 1947 to James Willie Moore and Muriel (McLain) Moore in Parks, Arkansas. Herman was 70 years, 1 month and 1 day old.
Herman retired, after many years of committed service to the maintenance department, from Tyson Foods. When he wasn’t working, Herman enjoyed restoring old cars and going to car shows. He also had a passion for guns. So much so, that he enjoyed taking his nieces and nephews hunting and teaching them to love the sport as he did. He loved kids and just being around his family was the highlight of his day. It made him happy to see his friends and loved ones and share a good laugh together or a story to remember. Herman leaves a legacy of hard work and strong family ties with everyone that knew him.
Herman leaves behind to cherish his memory, one sister, Sue Bonds of Elm Park, Arkansas, one brother Paul Moore and wife Dena of Vivian, Louisiana. Herman will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives were impacted by him including a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones.
Herman is preceded in death by his parents, James and Muriel Moore and two brothers Jimmy Moore and Doug Moore.
Herman’s life celebration will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Pat Ray Biggs officiating. Interment will be in the Hawkins Cemetery in Parks, Arkansas Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home & Crematory in Waldron, Arkansas.
Herman’s pallbearers will be Carl “Snuffy” Johnston, Roger Sparks, Johnny Murray, Mac Lee, Butch Sims, Rick Metcalf, James Hughes and Terral Scoggins. Honorary pallbearers will be Slick Sherrill, Johnny Ray, J.D. Sims and all the hunting buddies.
Herman’s visitation will be Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas where Herman’s family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
