Mansfield School Board Hires Librarian

The Mansfield School Board met in regular session on Monday, March 25. After approving the minutes of the February meeting, the board moved on to items of new business.

The board heard the report from Superintendent Robert Ross. Then approved the following:

• FCCLA National Convention
• mowing bids
• an overnight trip request
• 2017-2018 audit

Next, the board moved to accept the resignation of Juli DesOrmeaux. Also passed was the motion to create three new positions including: ALE, elementary special education, and middle school special education teachers.

Ten seasonal workers were approved to work over the summer. Those workers must be at least 16 years of age.

Current teacher Stephanie Presley was hired to fill the position of high school and middle school librarian.

Lastly, the board voted to renew the 2019-2020 presented contracts for certified employees.

With no other items of business, the board meeting was adjourned.
