After signing a commitment, the City of Mansfield will be counted in the 2020 Census. This was one of the new mayor’s first order of business.
“It’s very important to get a head count,” City Recorder/Treasurer Becky Walker said. “Otherwise the city looses money.”
She went on to add that citizens should encourage their neighbors to participate.
This year will be the first time the census will be available online. This, in an effort to simplify the process. This orifical count is a survey of the population and typically produces demographics information such as median income.
Resident Press will continue to keep its readers up to date on the status of census in our area.
