Note to Our Readers: The following story was sourced in its entirety from Ms Celia Looney, Yearbook Adviser, County Line High School. Ms. Looney is a RNN contributor and we thank her for bringing County Line school district updates to our readers!

In one of the more unique and special traditions among high schools in Arkansas, County Line High School has observed a very unique tradition for its senior classes of future graduates each year.

“Senior Sunrise” is a celebration of the seniors’ last first day of school, and they meet to watch the sun rise to begin their last school year together as a class. Last week, the Class of 2023 met on Monday, August 15 to share the first of their many “lasts” together. The seniors and their families gathered at Little Creek Country Club in Ratcliff for the traditional “Senior Sunrise”.

Twenty-eight members of the class assembled with their families for the celebration which was followed by a breakfast furnished by the senior parents. “Senior Sunrise” has been a tradition at County Line High School since 2014.

RNN congratulates all of the seniors at County Line High School and the surrounding communities and we extend our best wishes for a safe and memorable senior year!
