Arrows open conference play with a crushing victory!
Golden Arrows opened conference play last night against The JC Westside Rebel’s. For the second straight week, Lavaca’s defense pitched a shut out winning 45-0. Coach Schlinker said that “things are coming together, they are really starting to get it”.

“We want the ball”

The Arrows dominated from the opening drive with strong running by Tyler Armstead. Tyler ran the ball hard all night. Jimmy Hall added to the offense by going 4 of 5 throwing the ball to include a big 40 yard touchdown pass to Mason Walter.
Defense was stellar all night. Alex Dugan had a couple of big sacks followed with Mason Walter and Daniel Hartsfield had a couple of pics. Hartsfield ran his back for 6. Kaw-liga Brewer along with Jake Noble played big all night as well.
Go Tyler Go

One of the most impressive things I noticed is that even after the starters came off the field, our second defense was able to keep the Rebel’s at bay. This was a complete team win and these Arrows are getting better with each outing.
Next up for the Arrows is Mountainburg at home next Friday at 7:00. Come out and support your arrows. This game is the “ #noonefightsalone” game. There will be a BBQ tailgate benefit for the Vann family. Bailey Vann is the Lavaca senior who is still battling cancer. Please come and support. This family.
As Always,
Go Arrows!
