In a previous article, Harp’s announced their plans on purchasing the abandoned WalMart Neighborhood Market Buildings which are scattered around NW Arkansas, including Mansfield. The original story can be found HERE.
Rumors that Harp’s had bought the buildings, but released no solid plans on utilizing them, left communities with no certain understanding of what exactly was going on.
As of this morning, we have learned that Harp’s has now announced plans for some of the locations, and so has Dollar General Stores.
Harp’s will be utilizing the Mansfield, Cedarville, and Charleston locations as their new locations, and plan on this Fall as their set opening time frame. No specific date has been mentioned.
Dollar General will be utilizing the remainder of the previous WalMart locations, and will also utilize the existing gas pumps.
We’ll keep you updated on the details as they are provided.
