Members of the Fort Smith Police Department cyber crimes unit gave a presentation on internet and texting safety.
Representatives from the police department explained the dangers of giving out personal information online.
According to the crimes against children research center, “One in five children who regularly log on to the Internet say they have received an unwanted sexual solicitation via the Web.
Solicitations were defined as requests to engage in sexual activities or sexual talk, or to give personal sexual information.”
Fort Smith PD explained that predators stalk not only female juveniles, but male juveniles as well
