The Hackett Lady Hornet swarm was stopped short in the finals of the Bill Frye Tournament at Mansfield. The Hackett senior girl’s team finished as the runner-ups in the women’s side of the bracket. Members of the team pose with tournament namesake, retired MHS Coach Bill Frye above.
Basketball tournament host, Bill Frye, presents the West Fork Lady Tigers with the team championship plaque at the conclusion of the Mansfield Bill Frye Invitational. The senior girls division was won by the West Fork team in a closely contested match-up with Hackett on December 30.
The Vian Wolverines took the runner-up trophy on the men’s side of the Frye Tournament host at Mansfield Gymnasium the last week of December.
Bill Frye Tournament winners… The Lamar Warriors won the Bill Frye Holiday Classic basketball tournament hosted by Mansfield HS during Dec 27-30.
