Scott County Native, Jason Daggs, Declares Candidacy for Sheriff

Scott County native, Jason Daggs, has declared his candidacy for sheriff:

For over 30 years, I’ve dedicated my life to serving and protecting our community. I am a proud graduate of Waldron High School and have always called Scott County home.

My law enforcement journey began right here as a dispatcher and jailer, where I learned the importance of service, integrity, and community.

After serving as a deputy in Scott County, I left to join the Arkansas Highway Police. While working for the Highway Police, I transferred to Johnson County to serve as a patrol officer. Later, I moved to Sebastian County to continue my service. A few years ago, I returned to Scott County to be close to my family and community once again.

My roots in Scott County run deep—my father, Jim Daggs, was our Sheriff when I was a child. Growing up in this community and watching him serve with honor inspired me to follow in his footsteps.

Currently, I am a Lieutenant and serve as an Assistant District Commander for our district of 15 counties, overseeing around 20 patrol officers and leading law enforcement efforts across a large region.

Now, I am running for Scott County Sheriff to bring experienced leadership, proven dedication, and a local, familiar voice to serve our community. Together, we can make Scott County safer and stronger.

Vote Jason Daggs for Sheriff—experience you can trust, leadership you can count on, and a neighbor you know.
