Second round play in boys and girls brackets continues today in the Bill Frye Holiday Basketball Tournament Classic sponsored by Today’s Bank. Action in both the winners and losers brackets is taking place with championship and consolation games for both boys and girls scheduled for Friday.

At press time, the Paris Lady Eagles had punched their ticket to tomorrow night’s championship final. Paris awaits the winner of tonight’s game between Mulberry and tournament host Mansfield. Friday’s girls final will be played at 6 p.m.

In tonight’s boys semifinals, Waldron and Elkins are playing for the right to meet the winner of Vian, Oklahoma and Mansfield. The boys championship final will be held Friday night at approximately 7:20 p.m.

The annual holiday tournament is named after long-time Mansfield High School coach, Bill Frye. Coach Frye has been in attendance at the games this year as he always has, and will be on hand tomorrow night to present the championship trophies to both the girls and boys champions of this year’s tournament.

RNN Sports will be on hand tomorrow night to bring you coverage of both championship games, as well as the trophy presentations. Watch for photos from the tournament next week both at RNN Sports Press Pass as well as on social media.
