WALDRON — The Waldron School Board held a special meeting Wednesday, June 17, at the district’s Central Office Building, approving a major equipment purchase and several personnel-related actions.
Board members present were Angela Hunsucker, Toni VanDeWiele and John Keener. Board members Konnor McKay and Clay Woodall were absent. Superintendent Daniel Fielding was also in attendance.
Secretary Angela Hunsucker called the meeting to order at 5:32 p.m.
The board unanimously approved a quote from Trane Technologies for the purchase of an air-cooled chiller that includes a warranty. The motion passed on a 3-0 vote.
In personnel matters, the board accepted the resignation of middle school teacher Jennifer Opray, effective at the conclusion of the 2025-26 school year. The resignation was approved unanimously.
The board also approved the resignation of high school teacher Dillon Ward, effective at the end of the 2025-26 school year. The motion carried 3-0.
Board members approved the recommendation to transfer Grace McPherson to the position of Level 3 Technology Coordinator beginning with the 2026-27 school year. The motion passed unanimously.
Following the completion of business, the board voted 3-0 to adjourn. The meeting concluded at 5:41 p.m.
