With Mansfield Soccer founders, Jason, and Lesli Baggett stepping down from Mansfield Soccer to focus on bringing the sport into the Mansfield School District, it was unclear whether Mansfield Soccer would find new officer’s before season began.
In a meeting held August 29, 2017 at the Mansfield Ball Fields, Rich Patterson was elected President, Bo Patterson was elected Vice-President, and Amanda Wilson was elected Secretary.
Baggett stated, “This is the dream team to continue what we’ve created and take Mansfield Soccer in a new direction, under new leadership. Rich’s heart is focused on these kids, and continuing a winning tradition of Mansfield Soccer. Bo has refereed our games, and coached several years. He’s a perfect fit. Amanda has a heart for community, and with her previous experience in the Mansfield Ball Assoc., she’ll be a valued asset.”
Fall 2017 Soccer registrations begin tonight, 6-7pm at the Gazebo in Mansfield City Square.
