Our precious baby boy, Josiah Aaron Batchelor, infant son of John and Brooke Batchelor, earned his angel wings on January 29, 2017. Josiah was born November 7, 2016 with a Congenital Heart Defect.

Josiah’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Many lives were changed because of his. He brought so much hope into the world the day he was born and we will forever be thankful for the 83 days that we had with him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his big sister Leah of the home; grandparents Delbert and Joan Batchelor of Hodgen, Oklahoma and Scott and Sheri Thompson of Waldron, Arkansas, great grandparents Dora Thompson of Waldron, Arkansas, Ann Pottridge of Bates, Arkansas, Gary Pottridge of Magazine, Arkansas, and Dale Bullard of Pocola, Oklahoma, uncle and aunt David and Shannon Batchelor of Monroe, Oklahoma, Jerad and Joanna Bryer of Hodgen, Oklahoma, Justin Thompson of Bates, Arkansas, and Hali Thompson of Waldron, Arkansas. He is also survived by many great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends who loved him dearly.

Josiah’s life celebration service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 4, 2017 at First Baptist Church in Waldron, Arkansas with Rev. Gary Powell and Rev. Joe Hayden Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Kirk Cemetery in Cauthron, Arkansas. Arrangements are being entrusted to the Heritage Memorial Funeral Home in Waldron, Arkansas.

Pallbearers will be Delbert Batchelor, Scott Thompson, David Batchelor, Jerad Bryer, and Justin Thompson.

Josiah’s visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Heritage Memorial Home Chapel in Waldron, Arkansas where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
