The Richard/ Gaines/ Loubey family would like to announce the passing of a dear loved one, Steven Lee Gaines III. Steven was born on September 6th, 2005, in Mena Arkansas and died unexpectedly on February 1, 2024.
Steven was such a beautiful soul. He loved to have fun and make people laugh. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He loved exploring old, abandoned places to see what his brother and him could find. He enjoyed bonfires and hanging out and having a good time with his friends and family. He was a hard-working, talented young man. He worked hard and learned quickly. He loved playing around, and people were just drawn to him. He had a magnetic personality. His smile could light up a room. He had no fear. He would start up a conversation with anyone. Steven’s life was short, but he touched many people. He grew up in Waldron. His first job was with Keith Morris plumbing a family long-time friend who is more family than a friend. He wanted to travel and spread his wings and see the world. So, he got a job with his stepdad and brother at NCS. He prided himself on doing his job well. He will forever live on and be remembered in the hearts he loved and touched along the way.
He is survived by those who loved him most his mother Jolene (Loubey) Richard, stepfather Robert Richard; his brothers Joshua Loubey, Flannigon Gaines, Gordon Gaines, Otho Gaines and sisters: Nina Loubey, Skarlett Richard, Aubrey Gaines Allen, Alanis Martin and brothers-in-law Grady Allen and Collin Martin, stepbrother Izek Pina-Pina and stepsisters: Raven Swiney, Gabriella Pina-Pina, Alexis Percefull. Steven is also survived by grandmother’s Shelia Campbell Johnson and Elizabeth Lane and grandfather Kenneth Johnson as well as a bonus GG, Gaetonette Meza, and bonus uncle Josh Swiney. Steven will be missed by all that knew him and the many whose lives he impacted including many, many uncles and aunts and cousins.
