Deadlines Announced for May School Elections

The Scott County Board of Elections, and the office of the Sebastian County Clerk have announced the deadline on filing for the May school elections.

SCOTT COUNTY

The 2019 Annual School Election will be held on May 21. The deadline to register to vote is April 22.

30 DAYS PRIOR TO THE ANNUAL SCHOOL ELECTION FILING DEADLINE

First day for candidates filing by petition to circulate petitions for Annual School Election. Clerk shall not count as valid any signature dated more than thirty (30) days before the filing deadline (February 20, 2019).

Petition must contain at least twenty (20) registered voters who are residents of the school district and, if applicable, the electoral zone for the position. Ark. Code § 6-14-111(d-f)
