Hello everyone!! You know what time it is?????????????? Halloween this Saturday night, I have everything ready for my trick or treaters. I have all the decorations out and I have Dracula, a tractor with a scarecrow, a big spider that lights up, several skeletons and some headstones. Speaking of headstones did I tell ya’ll when I went to decoration where my mom and dad are buried that my cousins had their headstone set up, they are still alive.
Me and my brother looked at each other we were not sure if they had died or not, we felt bad because we didn’t bring flowers. Come to find out they are alive and well. I guess that is the new thing to buy your headstone and have it set up because let’s face the facts if it is left up to our kids, we may never get one. I told ya’ll when I die Jacob will be on the first flight out to vacation somewhere tropical.
Back to Halloween I make a pot of chili a showdog couldn’t jump over, we have hotdogs, Fritos, cheese, cheese dip, and my son makes the best pulled pork so we have sandwiches with that.
For dessert we will have chocolate chip cookies, homemade Oreo cookies, peach cobbler, cafeteria lady peanut butter bars, brownies and coconut pie. Everybody likes something different so I just make a spread. As ya’ll can tell I am so excited.
I have told ya’ll before that I go out to eat on Friday nights with friends of mine. You never know where we will end up. I have been so far out I have heard banjos and sometimes we go to Greenwood. One night we ended up in Poteau, OK and it just so happened to be karaoke night. When I tell ya’ll that it was just too much, trust me. I don’t claim to be a singer but there was only one person out of the whole restaurant that could sing. Do you know how hard it is to eat while karaoke is going on and it’s way off key??
We scarfed that food down and made our way out of there. We decided to mark that off our list of places to go. We have got ourselves into some predicaments on these Friday nights.
Until next week, hug your loved ones and tell them you love them.
